I admire Dean Kamen too, who equally shines, but Ray shines the brightest. Or does Edison? Either way, I had an opportunity to read Ray’s “The Singularity is Near”, and it opened my eyes to the possibilities that are exponentially close. At IBM’s Impact 2010, here are some insightful videos of Ray’s intellect shared.

But Opera is responding the same way and if Microsoft and Mozilla follow, then we may see a new evolution in how this type of media is delivered.

But again, HTML 5’s media capability is not as fast.

The evidence is in this video. As a tester, this is suitable to know, at least for now, but things evolve. HTML 5 may move slower than Flash during actual run time, but there are other metrics to consider - like browser loads from the server, size of packets being delivered, and more. HTML 5 may prove itself as it becomes a ubiquitous platform in the near future.

I can’t wait to see how this pans out.

"It’s like we’ve rebooted the computer industry into the Cloud, and everything has to be refactored..."

“It’s like we’ve rebooted the computer industry into the Cloud, and everything has to be...

Agile Programming guru, Kent Beck offers some great insight in...

Agile Programming guru, Kent Beck offers some great insight in this video to what lies beyond the agile approach, especially with customer requests, and response to changes, etc. This is highly recommended for testers to learn (in brief) some of the insights of the Pull and Push Models. As testers (especially automation testers) , we fit in here (at least in the Pull Model) so don’t be alarmed.
