Sysinternals: MS Window Utility Tools at your fingertips [tools/OS/utility/test lab]
I’m a hack at heart, and I enjoy getting my hands dirty with tweak tools for Windows when I need some help with small runtime utilities. Well, now Windows® Sysinternals offers a way for you to grab the tools you need for your test lab workstations, via your web browser. Just point your browser to Sysinternals (http://live.sysinternals.com/ ) and you can grab the toys you need to work with.
This is the perfect access point for the toolsmith who needs to check a few things on the fly, and simply forgot their thumb drive. It’s great for performance monitoring gurus, who need to check real-time disk and directory activity, by grabbing tools like DiskMon, FileMon, or DiskUsage. Or if you need to improve security needs, you can use ShareEnum to scan security properties of files on your network, and close up any potential holes. The list of tools are Windows specific, but a useful leverage if you manage this platform in your QA lab or environment.
